Vacation Destinations: What to Wear

Posted on July 09, 2018 by Tracie Pfrogner | 0 comments | Share:

Summer is the perfect time to cure your travel bug and take a trip to somewhere new. Now we know packing can be stressful, so we took a peek through our racks to find some outfits for your different travel destinations this summer. Whether you’re headed to a European winery or the beaches of Mexico, Michael’s has exactly what you need to wear!

New York City
New York is so hot during the summer, and the sweaty subway and smelly trash doesn’t help, but NYC is still so fun during the summer! From rooftop bars to sightseeing to taking in a Broadway show there are so many fun things to do while visiting the city this summer. We recommend visiting the top of the Empire State Building and then having a drink at the rooftop bar Ophelia in Midtown. And while you’re visiting don’t forget to stop by and shop the best luxury consignment at Michael’s! For this trip, we suggest wearing comfortable but still chic shoes and the New Yorker’s favorite color; black! You’ll easily blend in with the locals.

Mykonos, Greece
Take in the breathtaking turquoise waters in Mykonos while wearing light breezy fabrics and comfortable sandals. A dress or skirt that you can just throw on over your bathing suit is key to keep you in full-vacation mode. Sit back and relax with a tropical drink in one hand and a gyro in the other…

Fleur du mal dress Sz. 2 $195

Paris, France
Make sure you’re dressed absolutely “tres chic” while you're sipping your coffee outside that French cafe along the Seine. You need a look that will take you from the Louvre to a fabulous wine bar. The French are pros at looking effortlessly put together, so we suggest classic skinny jeans and comfortable ballet flats.  Make sure to say “Bonjour” to the Mona Lisa for us.

Rome, Italy
Just thinking of all the amazing architecture and spaghetti makes me want to hop on plane right this second. Stay cool in the Italian heat with some gelato and a summer sundress. Don’t forget to throw a coin into the Trevi fountain and make a wish!
