Met Gala 2019 "Camp: Notes on Fashion" Red Carpet Recap
Posted on May 07 2019
Feathers, sequins, and chandeliers - oh my! This year’s Met Gala red (or should I say pink?) carpet brought out Hollywood’s hottest and the fashion industry’s most elite. It was such a tease being a mere two blocks away from all the action happening at this year’s annual Met Gala hosted by the one and only Anna Wintour. This year’s extravagant theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” which is inspired by an essay written by Susan Sontag in 1964. This broad theme entitles all to get as fun, creative, and as extra as possible when it comes to getting dressed. Think of Marie Antoinette’s crazy wigs and Moschino’s tv dinner cape from the spring 2019 runway collection. Today we’ll be sharing some of our favorite whimsical and outside-of-the-box looks from last night!
A Las Vegas show should have came with Celine Dion’s glittering look.
Kasey Musgravres is a Barbie girl in a Barbie world.
Tracee Ellis Ross sure was in the right frame of mind.
Taste the rainbow with Cara Delevingne.
I bet we could take a nap on Cardi B’s gigantic duvet dress.
Wear sneakers, but make it Met Gala like Serena Williams.
Yes the Queen of Camp, Lady Gaga, did have 3 outfit changes on the red carpet.
Zendaya making all our Disney Princess dreams come true.
The party didn’t start until Lupita Nyong'o walked in.
